KarenLee Eaton, Photographer

About Karen

KarenLee was born and raised in Port Townsend and has been taking pictures since age seven when she came upon her dad’s old 35mm Pentax SLR, and implored him to teach her how to use it. After many years of photographing with film she entered the world of digital photography. In 2017 she completed the University of Washington’s Certificate in Photography program where she began a deep love of photographing the night sky and chasing down cheeky hummingbirds.

KarenLee’s night sky photography has become her signature work, although she frequently returns to her photographic roots of Pacific coastal scenes and the forests and mountains that kiss those shores, shooting in softer, natural tones to embrace the quiet grandeur of creation.

It has always been Karen's hope that the images produced give a sense of wonder, joy, reverence, peace, and a call to stewardship for the natural world we live in. You can visit her website at karenleephotog.com and follow her weekly Sunday Night Facebook Post called “What I saw last week.” at KLAE Photographic Arts
